Thriving for operational excellence, our client is looking for a Transport & Logistics Coordinator. This new position will join the Logistics department and aim to develop a Transport Management System and streamline inter-plants material flows

The position is located close to Louvain-La-Neuve.

Mission:

Assist the Logistics and Supply Chain Manager Benelux in his mission

Focus on operations and lean & change management

Logistics:

  • Transport operations
  • Tendering and spot offering management for transport (road, barge & train cargo)
  • Follow up of security issues linked to transport in compliance with the company policy
  • Treatment of complaints and corrective actions with the transport companies
  • Create a new evaluation process for our carriers. Develop KPI’s & cost analyses
  • Create a communication tool with carriers to inform them regularly on new instructions and/or important changes of all kind. Follow up of the frame contracts
  • Participate actively to the installation of the controlling of additional costs and learn the invoicing and controlling process of our transport costs

Supply Chain:

  • Coordinate flows of raw materials (stone) between our production sites
  • Support and backup for Supply Chain Manager in his functions

Practically:

  • 25% of your time at plants/customers/carriers (Benelux)
  • 75% of your time in Benelux Division offices near Louvainla-Neuve
  • Content: 80% operations / 20% change & lean management

Profile:

  • Proven experience in Logistics and/or supply chain (5 to 8 years experience / Min Bachelor or master)
  • Fluent in French , Dutch and English , German being an asset
  • Knowledge of ERP (SAP or equivalent ) shipping software , TMS
  • Good knowledge of road transport legislation
