Als Douanedeclarant in Zeebrugge draag je bij aan het waarborgen van compliance binnen de logistieke keten. Je houdt je dagelijks bezig met het correct en volledig afhandelen van douaneformaliteiten voor inkomende en uitgaande goederenstromen. In deze junior functie werk je samen met collega's en externen, waarbij je de geldende wet- en regelgeving volgt.

• Opstellen en controleren van douanedocumentatie voor diverse goederenstromen
• Zorgdragen voor een juiste en tijdige afhandeling van douaneprocedures
• Communiceren met klanten, collega’s en douaneautoriteiten in het Nederlands en Engels
• Toepassen van actuele douanewetgeving binnen operationele processen
• Bijhouden van administratie rond import-, export- en transitdocumenten
• Ondersteunen bij het waarborgen van customs compliance binnen het bedrijf

Het doel van deze functie is het realiseren van een vlekkeloze, compliant afhandeling van douaneprocessen en het minimaliseren van operationele risico’s.

• Betrouwbaarheid: Integriteit en discretie zijn voor jou vanzelfsprekend bij het omgaan met vertrouwelijke gegevens.
• Communicatief sterk: Je weet helder te communiceren, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk, in het Nederlands én het Engels. Dit helpt je om makkelijk samen te werken met collega’s en externe partners.
• Leergierig: Je bent gemotiveerd om je verder te verdiepen in douanezaken, wetgeving en procedures, en staat open voor begeleiding en feedback.
• Organisatietalent: Je houdt overzicht in drukke periodes, werkt gestructureerd en weet prioriteiten te stellen.
• Klantgericht: Je hebt oog voor de belangen van de klant en streeft naar een correcte en vlotte afhandeling van dossiers.
• Flexibel en stressbestendig: Je past je makkelijk aan veranderende situaties aan en blijft accuraat presteren onder tijdsdruk.

Kandidaten met een achtergrond of affiniteit in logistiek of internationale handel, en/of ervaring met douanedocumentatie en -compliance, genieten de voorkeur. Je voelt je comfortabel in een ondersteunende en administratieve rol binnen een groter logistiek proces.
