Tax Specialist

Job description

Are you passionate about direct and indirect taxation and by other finance topics as VAT, fiscal documents or audits? Then the position of Tax Specialist could be just the right fit for you!

Your Role

The Tax specialist will contribute to design and implement tax policies and strategies. The role also requires tax planning and reporting, including the filing of corporate tax returns and few legal related missions.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare and fil corporate and local tax returns; prepare fiscal documents 281.50, organize tax audits,
• Advise internally with respect to taxation topics, suggesst process improvements and solutions,
• Contribute to International tax reporting, Ad hoc analysis and reports, assistance during Headquarters internal audits and year end statutory audit, 
• Review monthly VAT returns, ESL and annual listing; file VAT refunds in EU; prepare and organize tax audits,
• Draft intercompany contracts; follow-up of licenses, publications in register of commerce and in ‘Belgisch Staatsblad’; secure compliance with policies, guidelines & procedures,
• Manage and follow up of corrective action plans based on audits; act as advisor to the management and business fields; transfer VAT knowledge to the organization. #LI-AM4

Your Skills and Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting & Taxation, Business Administration, etc., being familiar with Dutch fiscal legislation is an advantage,
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a tax function preferably in VAT and corporate taxation,
• Background and/or interest in Logistics, being familiar with retail activities would be an advantage,
• Advanced analytical thinking, detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex tax-related issues, reliable team player when needed but also an independent expert when expected,
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, …),
• Fluent in Dutch and English, French will be considered as an asset.
