Operations Manager - Logistics Retail

We are offering an Operations Manager position within our dynamic Contract Logistics Organisation dedicated to Retail. If you want to discover one of the most successful logistics organizations, this is a great opportunity to join our team!

Your Role

You will have a leading role in your department for the realization of the objectives of the site. The Operations Manager - Logistics Retail is responsible for directing, coordinating and starting up / following up operational measures.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure activities are carried out according to the agreed SQCDPE objectives (safety, quality, cost, delivery, people, environment) and continuous improvement is in place for relevant processes;
• Develop people within the operational organization so that they can actively participate in the realization and improvement of the results.
• Draw up, execute and adjust the tactical & operational plan for the department based on the long-term. You translate long-term strategy into daily operations. 
• Maximize customer satisfaction and engagement; Understand where the customer's values lie and convert them into concrete proposals that we work on internally; ensure customer meetings (MBR, QBR) are sufficiently prepared.

Your Skills and Experiences

• Bachelor degree in the area of Logistics or equal level by experience,
• 5 years of experience in a managerial operational position, preferably within Contract Logistics,
• Born confident and motivator with enthusiasm to lead people. You are a decision maker and able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders,
• Result driven mindset, good communication and presentation skills, strong team spirit and Customer oriented,
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, …) and recognized for your analytical skills,
• Excellent command of English and Dutch, another language would be a plus.
