Business Development Manager – China

As a Business Development Manager – China, you are the commercial link between Europe and China. You build strong relationships with Chinese clients and partners while supporting European customers with their projects towards Asia. No two days are the same: you work on complex logistics operations such as industrial installations and large-scale transport projects. Concretely, you take the lead in the following:
- You develop and grow the client portfolio with a focus on China
- You maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with key accounts
- You identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- You connect teams in Europe and China and ensure smooth collaboration
- You spot new opportunities along the China–Europe trade lane
- You prepare quotations, negotiate, and follow up
- You work closely with operations to ensure flawless execution
- You represent the organization at events and client visits
- You keep your pipeline and client data up to date in the CRM
Who are we looking for:
- You preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management
- You have experience in a commercial role, ideally within logistics or transport
- You have a strong affinity with the Chinese market and culture
- You are fluent in Mandarin and English (Dutch is a plus)
- You preferably have an existing relevant network
- You are commercially driven with a customer-focused mindset
- You combine diplomacy with strong persuasion skills
- You work in a structured way and are a true team player
- You are willing to travel to China several times per year
