For the accounting department of a dynamic and international organization in Antwerp, we are looking for a precise, analytical, and driven Teamlead Accounting to strengthen the current team. Our client is active in logistics and combines local expertise with global scale to serve customers reliably and efficiently. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE:
- Leading a team of six A/P accountants and coaching them in their development.
- Defining goals and KPIs, monitoring performance, and providing regular feedback.
- Encouraging a collaborative and results-oriented team atmosphere with a strong focus on engagement and growth.
- Ensuring the timely and accurate execution of all daily accounting activities.
- Organising and monitoring transactional workloads and proactively resolving bottlenecks.
- Driving continuous process improvements, including standardisation, automation, and drafting SOPs.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and standards, strengthening internal controls, and collaborating closely with departments such as Sales, Treasury, IT, and Accounting.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor?s degree in Accountancy / Finance or equivalent through experience.
- At least three years of experience as a people manager within a transactional accounting environment.
- Strong background in process improvement, preferably within a shared services or international context.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong leadership and team development skills, with solid knowledge of VAT principles.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, combined with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Experience with Microsoft D365 and Power BI is a plus; you work accurately, flexibly, solution-oriented, and customer-focused.
