Our client in Zaventem specializes in pharmaceutical logistics and is currently looking for a Customer Service Representative to join their team.
Primary Duties:
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
- Act as an expert in import and export regulations.
- Review and approve Dangerous Goods shipments.
- Ensure compliance with client-specific handling procedures.
- Accurately enter all customer expectations into job files.
- Create new shipment orders for international routes and provide NFO (Next Flight Out) service.
- Plan international routings and enter clear, precise shipment handling instructions.
- Utilize available resources to research import/export requirements.
- Advise customers on requirements for importing into foreign countries, including customs procedures, duties and taxes, and estimated time in customs based on shipment value.
- Pre-advise destination offices for commodities requiring special attention, such as those needing import permits, formal entry, or oversized shipments.
- Communicate shipment status updates to customers promptly.
- Assist with customer issues such as delays, missing shipments, and price adjustments, striving for quick resolution.
- Coordinate trucking options and verify shipments in transit.
- This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key part in ensuring compliance and smooth operations for time-critical and temperature-sensitive shipments in the healthcare sector.

| Profile |
Experience & Educational Requirements:
- College education and /or industry experience preferred.
- Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through a combination of experience and education.
- Normally requires zero (0) to two (2) years directly related experience.
- Strong customer service skills, strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude & self-motivated
- Good decision making skills & good analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Languages: English, plus Dutch OR/AND French
- Familiarity with our customers services (Transport and storage of time-critical and temperature-sensitive products, such as medicines, vaccines, and advanced therapies (e.g., cell and gene therapy).
- Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and inventory management system
- Strong typing/data entry skills

What do they offer:
- Contract: 37 hours per week. (Flexibility in work schedule – 24 hour company will require overtime, holiday scheduling, and weekend shifts as necessary)
Temporary contract: 6 months, with the possibility of a permanent contract after this temporary period.
