Contract Logistics Shiftleader

Become the Driving Force Behind Our Logistics Operations as Shift Leader in Beringen!

Your Role

As a Shift Leader, you’ll play a key role in the daily organization of our warehouse operations. Leading a team of approximately 80 people through Team Leaders and administrative staff, you’ll ensure smooth execution of all activities during your shift. With a strong focus on food safety and operational excellence in a retail environment, you’ll be the go-to person for coordination, communication, and performance. Your leadership will help us meet our KPIs and deliver top-quality service to our clients.

Your Responsibilities

• 
  Organize and oversee a fully planned shift in the warehouse, managing both team leaders and administrative staff.
• 
  Maintain a clear overview of all ongoing activities and report to the Operations or Site Manager.
• 
  Ensure compliance with food safety and operational standards in a retail environment with perishable goods.
• 
  Collaborate with the planning team to ensure accurate scheduling of activities.
• 
  Monitor and achieve KPIs, proactively adjusting operations when needed.
• 
  Maintain operational contact with the client, who is regularly present on-site.
• 
  Communicate effectively with your team, lead regular team meetings, and coach your Team Leaders.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment through strong leadership and clear direction.

Your Profile

• A natural leader who inspires and motivates teams to reach operational goals.
• Proactive, independent, and solution-oriented with a hands-on mindset.
• Experience in a retail logistics environment and working with perishable goods is a plus.
• Proven experience managing large teams and understanding complex warehouse administration.
• Proficient in Excel, warehouse management systems (WMS), and MS Office tools.
• Willing to work in shifts (early, late, night) and on weekends.
• Fluent in English. Dutch & French are very advantageous.
