Warehouse & Cross Dock Coordinator

We are looking for a Warehouse Coordinator to join our team!

Your Role

The warehouse coordinator is responsible, together with the warehouse team leaders, to achieve the targets in regards in relation to safety, quality and productivity. You report directly to the warehouse manager and acts as his right hand.

Your Responsibilities

• Together with the team leaders, you supervise the daily operations. This also includes efficient staff follow-up and planning. This in consultation with the team leaders, management and employment agencies.
• You ensure optimal and safe working conditions, with attention to order, tidiness and discipline.
• You also monitor the efficiency and quality of the operations according to the established KPIs and you check compliance with procedures and ADR regulations in the workplace.
• You follow up the daily operational activities within the cross-dock department and react proactively to expected problems. To this end, you also act as a link between the various team leaders and the operational / support services (planning, transport department, etc.).
• You can exceptionally act as a backup for the team leaders.
• You actively participate in a process of continuous improvement and you identify and improve work processes.
• You participate in various optimization and integration projects. To this end, you are trained as a key user of the transport and warehouse management systems used.
• Together with the team leaders, you are jointly responsible for the continuous training, supervision and assessment of the Cross-dock and Warehouse employees. The introduction and follow-up of new employees is also part of your duties.
• You report to the Warehouse & Cross-dock Manager & you participate in structural and ad hoc consultations with team leaders and management.

Your Skills and Experiences

• You are interested in logistics processes and their continuous optimization. You have knowledge of lean management or are willing to become proficient in it.
• The extensive range of tasks does not scare you, but you are attracted to it (variation, diversity, initiative).
• You realize that order & tidiness is essential within a logistics environment. Experience with or knowledge of 5S is included.
• Safety is a top priority for you.
• You enjoy working in a team and you have leadership capabilities.
• You are communicative and you master Dutch as well as French in word and writing (notions of English and German are a plus).
• You are stress resistant, flexible with a hands-on mentality;
