For the accounting department of a dynamic and international organization in Antwerp, we are looking for a precise, analytical, and driven GL Accountant to strengthen the current team. Our partner operates in the logistics sector and combines local expertise with a global reach to serve customers reliably and efficiently.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE:

?    General Ledger management: Preparing and posting journal entries, provisions, depreciations, and reclassifications, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
?    Month-end and year-end closing: Managing all closing activities, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies.
?    Collaboration with other departments: Acting as the go-to contact for accounting-related questions, working closely with AP, Controlling, and Consolidation teams, and advising internal stakeholders.
?    Financial accuracy and compliance: Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS and internal guidelines, including support during audits and internal control processes.
?    Reporting and analysis: Assisting with variance analyses and contributing to internal and external financial reporting.
?    Process improvement and standardization: Initiating and implementing efficiency enhancements, supporting ERP and automation projects, and maintaining up-to-date SOPs.
 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

?    Bachelor?s degree in Accountancy / Finance or equivalent through experience.
?    Demonstrable experience in General Ledger accounting, preferably in an international environment.
?    Experience in cross-functional collaboration and audit support.
?    Ability to initiate and implement process improvements.
?    Knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and tax regulations.
?    Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
?    Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a plus.
?    Strong knowledge of Excel and financial systems.
?    A strong communicator with a positive and proactive mindset, passionate about efficiency, accuracy, and customer-focused work.
