With terminals in Rotterdam-East, Den Bosch, Nijmegen, Wanssum and Meerhout (Belgium), BCTN is the main inland container terminal network in the Benelux. The seaports of Rotterdam, Antwerp and Zeebrugge are intrinsically connected to the hinterland. Transport over water is not only sustainable, but also a cheaper transport method. Since its foundation in 1987, BCTN has been working on sustainable transport via European inland waterways. We want to deliver all container transport solutions to the market, within our service areas. Our people are inland specialists, and creative. We focus on the inland waterways in the Netherlands and Belgium. Our operations are most cost efficient.

History
The first terminal of BCTN was the terminal in Nijmegen. It was established in 1987. This initiative was later to be repeated in many other locations. Six new terminals have been established since: in Alblasserdam, Den Bosch, Geel (B), Meerhout (B), Roermond and Venray. Many of the containers destined for the inland market are shipped/received via one of our terminals and more and more companies are seeing the advantages of this mode of transport. The new terminal in Geel will be opened in the second quarter of 2017. Like the other terminals, the seventh terminal of our BCTN group will offer various services. One of our services is offering our customers the possibility to store containers for short or long periods of time at the terminal.
