As logistics assistant you will be responsible for the logistics department
- You will be responsible for the operational execution of a wide variety of logistic processes such as overseas transportation inbound/outbound and EU logistics (truck, train, sea, intermodal)
- You will be responsible for the full follow-up and support with the documentation flow such as import/export formalities, custom clearance, bill of lading, CMR, AWB, packing list, certificates of origin…
- You will proactively follow up and communicate on the delivery status of goods which are inbound our outbound to internal and external customers.
- You will be responsible for the contact and smooth cooperation with a wide variety of internal and external logistic partners.
- Help maintain the electronic filing system for administrative documentation.
- You will be responsible for the contact with and optimizing the cooperation with third party logistics partners..
- You will report to the General Manager

- Education: bachelor’s or master’s degree in international trade and administration or equivalent by experience
- > 5y experience in international logistics, warehousing and distribution
- Wide network and access to logistics partners in the (chemical) distribution sector is a strong asset
- Knowledge of planning techniques is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Proven knowledge of national and international shipping documents, transport regulations, Incoterms, ADR.
