MOL (Europe Africa) Ltd (MOLEA) who is one of the world's leading shipping companies, headquartered in Tokyo, with a fleet of more than 800 ships.
From our office in Strombeek, Belgium, the team operates 4 vessels through the European waters for the automotive industry, carrying vehicles and rolling loads. Start your career as a Vessel Operator!
What will you do and what does your day look like?
In this role, you will start with extensive internal training in which you will get to know the different departments of our organization. This training will give you an in-depth understanding of our business processes and enables you to maximize your knowledge and skills in your future role to ensure our fleet runs smoothly and efficiently, balancing customer needs with our financial goals and will be gradually involved in ensuring that our vessels operate safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
After the training period, you start your day by checking the status of your vessels and updating customers, coordinate with a captain or port agent and adjust planning if needed. Later, you analyze costs or resolve unexpected issues.
In practice, this means:
- Planning and monitoring vessel voyages.
- Coordinating daily with captains, customers, and partners.
- Managing loading, unloading, and bunker planning.
- Keeping track of costs and performance.
- Solving operational challenges as they arise.

Who are you?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (logistics, economics, or similar) with a big interest in transport, logistics, and/or shipping.
- You are fluent in English (written/spoken), Dutch and French, or minimal 2 of these languages.
- Good analytical and organizational skills with a flexible and driven mindset.
- An innovative thinker with excellent judgment and critical problem-solving skills.
- A good communicative team player who thrives in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
